چکیده

سندرم داون، شایع‌ترین عامل ژنتیکی عقب ماندگی ذهنی، زمینه ساز بروز نقایص و ناهنجاری‌های فیزیکی و عصب ـ روانشناختی بارز به ویژه در حوزه توانایی‌های شناختی ـ زبانی است. این مقاله با هدف شناخت و بررسی برخی از مهم‌ترین عوامل تأثیرگذار در بروز تأخیر زبان و نارسایی‌های گفتار در افراد مبتلا به سندرم داون نگاشته شده است. این عوامل در پنج گروه عمده زیر مورد تحلیل قرار می‌گیرند: 1- نقایص ساختارى و کارکردی در اندام‌هاى تولید گفتار؛ 2- مشکلات شنیدارى؛ 3- آسیب در حافظه کوتاه مدت شنیدارى – کلامى؛ 4- الگوى خاص برترى جانبى کارکرد‌هاى درک و تولید زبانى؛ 5- آسیب‌هاى ساختارى و کارکردى سیستم عصبى.غالب پژوهشگران از میان این علل، بیشترین سهم را متعلق به عامل آسیب‌هاى ساختارى سیستم عصبى وبروز ناهنجاری‌هاى رشد مغزى بویژه در ساختار‌هاى مرتبط به کارکرد‌هاى شناختى ـ زبانى، می‌دانند که البته میزان این آسیب پذیری در سندرم داون از تغییرات فردی و درون گروهی بسیار گسترده ای برخوردار است.

چکیده [English]

Down Syndrome (SD), the most common genetic cause of mental retardation, results in characteristic physical and neuropsychological deficits and abnormalities especially within the scope of cognitive and linguistic abilities.This study has been carried out to introduce and investigate some of the most important and efficient causes involved in speech delay and linguistic deficits in DS. These causes are :
1- Structural and functional deficits in speech articulatory organs.
2- Hearing impairments.
3- Short – term memory impairments.
4- The specific laterality pattern in language perception and articulation.
5- Structural and functional brain abnormalities.
It is necessary to note that most researchers believe that brain abnormalities especially in cognitive- linguistic regions is the most prominent in the before – mentioned causes. It worth noting these brain abnormalities have great varieties.
