Given the pivotal role of lexical innovation in children’s fiction and the specific challenges of translating these items, this study investigated the mechanisms of word formation and strategies for choosing equivalences, based on Newmark’s taxonomy. Employing a qualitative method centered on rigorous analytical inquiry, the corpus comprises four volumes of the original series alongside two distinct Persian versions. The morphological classification and subsequent analysis of the translated neologisms revealed that the translators have used various linguistic techniques, resulting in a multifaceted lexicon in the target language. The results showed that translators have used various strategies, ranging from transference to naturalization. The strategic selections made by the translators of the two publishers impact the fidelity of semantic transmission, the preservation or omission of textual creativity, and the ultimate cognitive reception by the target audience.   این پژوهش با رویکردی ساخت‌واژی به بررسی نوواژه‌های برگردان‌شده در ترجمه The School for Good and Evil نوشته سومان چینانی می‌پردازد. اهمیت نوواژه‌ها در ادبیات کودک و چالش‌های برگردان آن‌ها مطرح و مفاهیم مرتبط با نوواژه، انواع واژه‌سازی، معادل‌سازی و راهبردهای برگردان بر اساس مدل نیومارک بررسی شده است. روش پژوهش، کیفی و مبتنی بر تحلیل واژه‌هاست. پیکره پژوهش شامل چهار جلد از این اثر و دو ترجمه فارسی آن‌هاست. دسته‌بندی و تحلیل ساخت‌واژی نوواژه‌های برگردان‌شده نشان می‌دهد که مترجمان، نوواژه‌های انگلیسی را به ‌روش‌های مختلفی برگردان کرده‌اند که حاصل آن‌ها واژگان متنوعی در زبان فارسی است. یافته‌ها نشان می‌دهد مترجمان از مجموعه‌ای از راهبردهای مختلف ازجمله انتقال یا طبیعی‌سازی استفاده کرده‌اند و انتخاب هرکدام از این راهبردها توسط مترجمان دو ناشر می‌تواند نقش تعیین‌کننده‌ای در میزان انتقال دقیق معنا، حفظ یا حذف خلاقیت و تازگی متن و درک مخاطب داشته باشد. https://jlkd.um.ac.ir/article_47556_36b3d2f1755bb2eefb004b1b8f13f072.pdf
